Meeting Deep Roy - Star Wars Celebration Orlando

A gentlemen that I have been dying to meet was Deep Roy! He is in so many iconic roles! I loved him in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Big Fish, the new Star Trek series AND so much more!

And... of course... he was in the Wars several times throughout his career! That made it tough for me because he is famously known for Droopy McCool but was also an Ewok, R2-D2 and Yoda. 

He was the only costumed Yoda... the rest was puppeteering. I thought that was cool! Since Yoda is also iconic and I'm working on putting together the signed subset of comic art in the 1980 Topps Empire Strikes Back I had him sign the card below...

Deep was quiet and meek. I mean that in a very complimentary way. He was humble and welcoming. We shook hands but our interaction was quick. So much so that I forgot to get the authentication sticker on this card. But, I'm definitely going to add him to more trading cards down the road. He seems to appear quite a bit across the pond... and is usually cheaper! 😁
